This is one of Ireland’s oldest inns having been established by Dame Alice de Kyteler in the 13th century. Over the centuries the fortunes of Kyteler’s Inn were up and down and it lay derelict at various times. It was refurbished in the 1960s and now the decor includes some of the stripped bare medieval walls.
Kyteler’s Inn has become a popular tourist attraction, and the Top Floor is a lively music and party venue.

This small old pub is situated in the 1582 Archer Inner House – one of the oldest townhouses in Ireland. This pub has been revived as  a music and storytelling venue and it can be hired for parties, functions, small weddings and conferences.
This is a venue with a great history with great drink, music and some of the best coffee in Kilkenny.

Originally  a Bank Of Ireland Branch in Kilkenny, this fine building was transformed in 2008 into one of the most popular nightlife venues in Kilkenny. It is a really popular place  for a parties,  family celebrations and other functions.
As well as the impressive main bar The Left Bank also has the LB2 Social Club on the first floor which is one of Kilkenny’s top Nightclubs with top DJ’s playing every Friday & Saturday night.
Bar food is available daily and the Rive Gauche restaurant next door serves excellent dishes from its extensive menu.

One of the oldest inns in Ireland with a history dating back to 1263 this ancient establishment has seen numerous changes over the the centuries. You can see a brief history of the inn here.
By the 1960s it was in poor shape and was refurbished at that stage and further enhancements and developments were carried out in the subsequent decades.
Today Kyteler’s Inn is a popular tourist attraction, welcoming guests from all over the world who want to experience its heritage and history, or listen to the live music, or to sample the Kyteler’s Inn cuisine (featuring traditional dishes like Bacon and Cabbage and Irish stew), to those who simply want to enjoy a pint of Kilkenny beer.
